There are places that are famous not for the places themselves, for what they are, what it is offered inside, but thanks to the added value put by people that use to be there |

When those people are not special people, but ordinary people, like ourselves, the place becomes even more special. Maybe the reason is that there must be something more pushing you there. It is only partially true to say "nothing special: just men looking for women, women looking for men". This is maybe one out of the many reasons. The following question could be "why people meet here?" |

Thermae Coffee Shop is -or it was- one of those few "centre of the world" places. I mean a place that seems to lay beyond what you see, that gives an overdose of inputs to your five senses, stimulating your perceptions directly into you brain, so that you cannot understand why you are there, but it seems that you had to be there, you feel that some energies you could hardly control pushed you there, that the same forces drove there other beings, other entities. It is one of that places where it seems that the time dimension is different, belonging both to the past and to the future. Where things happen, or happened, or will happen. A place where you are both the walk-on and the director. A place where, if you want, you can see many copies of yourself moving in front of you, talking in front of you, acting, going away with your girlfriend. All the same and all so different |

And Thermae can be different depending on how you look at it. For each of us Thermae means both the same thing and a different thing, closed in our mind, together with our life, the mood we had that night, what happened when we were there |

Now, after 30 years, the original Thermae Coffee Shop closed. A new Thermae Coffee House opened two days later. Will the new Thermae Coffee House play the same role? Is there a way to keep alive the soul of the Thermae? Is there a place better than the web to celebrate a place that, in the end, lives inside the people that had something to do with, a place with no time, no day or night, where the same play had a run for thirty years, and is still repeating today? |
